i like how u took a much different approach than anyone else, but ive never had a sibiling make light of a rainy day, actually on the contrary they usually piss me off even more when i cant run away from em. and i had gotten as far as u on the key or change part however i didnt see the contrast between meaningful and irrelevant. and i find it hard to believe ur talking about being kissed. more something involving a little more skin?

yea i was intrigued by that line too. i think he is wondering, if this girl, who was stolen right out from under his nose, feels the weight of the wrongdoing she has done to him. possibly from cheating on him or saying things she didnt necessarily mean, just felt at the time.

i have to add, also to my previous comment above, the best part, fuck. the whole time he is symbolizing this girl with a bird and lives around his house and is probably left around when she did. first comment im sure of, not quite about the bird symbolism

The first stanza is obvioulsy him reminicing about a former love. the second however adds more light. "The birst stealing bread that i brought out from under my nose" signifies the reason this relationship broke up is actually a friend introduced by him to girlfriend at the time, effectively ended his relationship with her and starting theirs, possibly a secret at first. "all that we wouldnt say" suggests they were exetremely comfortable around each other, even in silences others would call akward. "tell me baby do u carry the words around like a key or change" is him wondering if she actually feels bad about what she did, or if she is honest with others about her morals and wrongdoings. "if i see u again...... with u fly away like a bird stealing bread from under my nose." this final line is him admiting he is not over it again and if he had the opportunity he would jump right back into it, fully knowing she will be stealing his dignity and/or heart, again.
