The phrase "it's not a matter of time, it's just a matter of timing" was a saying Justin's father used to tell him. Justin has gone on to state that this is one of, if not the, most personal song he has written; touching on some of the emotional struggles he went through growing up. I personally love the line "Do you ever wonder how you got to here?". It reminds me that when I look back at everything I have done, and what was done to me, whether good or bad, it helped create who I am today and to never take that for granted. |
