This song is a little personal to me, because I had a boyfriend who ran away from home without a word and stopped contacting me, for no reason, but told others he had family issues. The person feels guilty for not knowing how to help, and looking back afterwords, plays back how if they had known the problem, they COULD have given their loved one help, or "saved their life". |

I think that instead of being about a relationship, this song could be about a friendship that died away. Like, you two have been friends for practically forever, but then that person starts to change and you can't stand their company anymore. Then the friendship starts to crumble, and you two eventually break it off completely. Does that make sense? |
