Here's another part of the song that I've found: "I don't want to bruise your ears Or hurt you again But I got back-stabbed by a black cab When I needed a friend" So yeah, it's like Ed was betrayed/back-stabbed or something like that. "And I can’t, no, I won’t hush I’ll say the words that make you blush" Like Ed's trying to tell other what the other dude did (I guess so) "You need me, man, I don’t need you, at all" I think it's sorta like the other dude regrets what he's done and he wants to befriend Ed again but Ed doesnt need him anymore. |

I agree with courtmyster... "And out of all these things I've done"- maybe he did something unforgivable (in the eyes of the girl). Like what courtmyster said, he might've cheated on her or something like that. |
