Yeah I don't get that bit either. Most characters in violent video games are adults right? At least I hope they don't make games with child soldiers :/ So how could they be seconds older than the children playing them? Unless it is respawning, but then they are way younger than the children. |

Why is it strange? Lupe is pointing out that some children are brainwashed by religious fanatics to make war against their perceived enemies, in this case a boy called Khalil being trained to hate 'infidels' and 'American devils' by the rebels. I guess that most Muslims would say only extremists would behave in this way and not true Muslims. Lupe is showing that he is not biased towards one group of people - violence is everywhere and innocent young people everywhere are being abused. In the song 'American Terrorist' Lupe discusses terrorist acts planned by both extremist Muslim & Christian groups and talks about how people misinterpret religious truth and use it as an excuse for violence ("the books that lead you to heaven and let you meet the Lord there have become misinterpretated reasons for warfare"). What's 'strange' is that not many rappers seem to want to talk about these things that are affecting all of us. |

I think when he says 'I prescribe no partners' he also refers to the idea that if you believe in the oneness of God, you don't 'join partners' to Him, e.g. you don't worship anyone or anything else but Him. This seems to be an important aspect of Islamic belief |
