I think the song starts as she discovers him, as many others in many different eras of time have, and his curse is that regardless of how many times he is found and buried he has to watch as each person he falls in love with dies while he remains the same. (all while remaining a slight metaphor for losing those you love). That's my outsider, first impression on this wonderful piece of music. -Cole |
