I see this beautiful song (one of my favorites by one of my favorites) as another way of saying “if you love someone, set them free.” It took me a long time to truly understand this, and it is in no way easy. |

This song is an unbelievable piece of art. I almost feel as if the Foos were channeling some epic music here, such as Layla, Bohemian Rhapsody, etc. hence probably why they played those songs in the beginning of the Austin "Sonic Highways " episode. I think this is about the healing power of music, and even love in general. At first the subject doesn't feel worthy, but in the end he knows it will save him. Very powerful and cathartic in my opinion. |
