Hm...I have never thought of this song as being about God. I'm still not convinced it is. I think it was written to be about anyone who is most important to YOU. On a side note, the relationship one has with God may not be their most important relationship. It's ignorant to assume that just because YOU have an amazing relationship with God, that other people do too. Some people, like me, don't even believe in God! :-O So how can my most important relationship be with someone I'm not even sure exists? Seems to me like the most important relationship in your life should be the one you have with your husband/wife. Or, you know, your children. Or both. Besides, isn't that how God would want it? IF there is a God? |
