Does he have a child? A daughter, specifically? It sounds like a love song, but not the old overused love song. To me it's very paternal. Lots of references to childhood and growing up, i.e. "scars on your knees," something I would associate with childhood, running around falling over. Maybe it's fraternal, does he have a sister? And I feel like he's also making references to Sweden, and wherever he/the object of the song grew up. Either way, this is probably my favorite song by him. It's gorgeous. |
