Just a funny little anecdote about this song. First version I heard of this song was on I Heard They Suck Live (If you haven't heard it get it, its the shit, along with the new live album They've Actually Gotten Worse Live) When I got to see them live they played this song, and I went Oi Oi Oi like in the live album. It's a pretty weird feeling being the only person who Oi's, but I learned a little something about leadership. The guy standing next to me turned and looked at me like "are you a dumbass?" and someone else said to me "started a little early, huh?" (this was 2 different shows) But the crowd quickly caught on and gave 3 more Oi Oi Oi's. This happened twice. I've had the pleasure of seeing them live 4 times. The last time I saw them and they played this song again I decided not to Oi just to see what happened - and nobody Oi'd at all. I was both satisfied and disappointed at the same time. What did i learn about leadership, you may ask? Well, If you know whats right, do it, Just because the guy next to you thinks you are stupid does NOT mean that you are, because if you do whats right, the masses are sure to follow. Oh BTW I'm a white guy who's been listening to NOFX for over 10 years now. NOFX rocks! |
