Wow! I was listening to the song, and something about the lyrics got my gears turning, and I actually interpreted it the same way you did, and I was wondering if I had it "correct," and, well--here we are! It might be because of where I am right now with God, realizing that, above all else, he really loves me, and more significantly, *wants* to love me, and not because he has to, not because it's some abstract theological truth that says "God loves us." He really desires me--he desires us all. :] Oh, and another song by Foster the People that has a similar. . . "message" is "I Would do Anything For You." Thanks so much! :D |
