| I think most of the songs in this album relate to those behind the scenes (illuminati) or whatever you want to call it. | |
| Thrice – Paper Tigers Lyrics | 13 years ago |

My interpretation is that this song is about 9/11. I also think that this song relates to the next track 'Hoods on Peregrine' in a profound way, and also if you listen to the CD it plays into the next track. "They preach to the choir" - The 'choir' is the american society, the people. 'They' being those who think they are in control (behind the scenes). "They toss paper tigers from their perfect porcelian skylines." - Paper tigers in this case relating to the effects of the incident 9/11 (their perfect porcelian skylines). The incident appears threatening but it is an illusion. "Listen for the sound, as it all comes crashing down." - Literally speaking about the collapse. 'Listen for the sound' meaning pay attention to how is comes down, the 9/11 conspiracy. Now if you can relate to my interpretation the rest of the lyrics fall into place, especially the next track 'hoods on peregrine', which refers to the big conspiracy. |
