apparently this song was written after the band were at a concert in chas chandlers home town.
after the concert the band were staying chas's mothers house, the journey home was incredibly cold, and no sooner had the door to her house been opened jimi said 'let me stand next to your fire', but apparently the dog was standing in the way, hence the lyric 'oh move over rover, let jimi take over' |
