i feel as though when he says "im sorry it took me so long (to come around)" he's apologizing for him not noticing something as quickly as she thought he would, "Your famous last words started once your fingers hit the snooze Just nine more minutes please (and they...) They all know where to find me" He's saying the last thing she said to him were "Just nine more minutes please.." and even though they weren't anything mean, hes trying to say they still hit home. Maybe he was trying to wake her up for something, but she'd rather sleep then spend time with him. "Every word that I said, what a big mistake And the ones you left out are keeping me away I will never make another promise (without you) I will never make another promise (with you in mind)" He's saying everything he ever told her was a mistake, He's regretting making her fall for him, and the things she decided not to tell him are pushing him away. so he's practically saying he feels bad because she's afraid to tell him how she feels. I feel as though the promise part means She promised him something but didn't keep it, thats why he's saying he won't make another promise without thinking about her not keeping hers.
