| The Tea Party – Requiem Lyrics | 13 years ago |

It's about suicide. More specifically, talking one out of it. Â "And you say life is bitter sweet... You've tried so gracefully, but its faceless company has let you down." "Lost and they set you free. Concerned by what they'd see and you begged on bended knee. Still they let you down..." Saying that you tried so hard, but life has still fucked you over and noone helped you out. Â "Say it comes to this?" I trust you understand what he means by "this"? Â "Say it comes to this? All the things you'd miss. A requiem won't change your fate; it passes over so soon." A requiem is like a funeral. He's reminding you of the things you will miss out on and he's saying that death will not fix your problems. |
