| I think he sings about how life and death are the same thing. He is on one side, and she is on the other. They both exist, but in two separate realms, where they can't intersect. She can't see what he sees, particularly, the people as a result of who, she died. Occasionally, he hears voices coming from the other realm, and, therefore, the song ends as - "Guess, it doesn't matter anyway",meaning that it doesn't really matter if you're dead or alive.
