Nirvana is the Buddhist term for Heaven. This song is Kurt expressing his anger towards God. "She" = Nature. "Nature eyes me like a picses when I am weak." Seeing an umbilical as a noose is like saying he doesn't like the idea of being reborn, although he may believe it to be reality. heart-shaped box = God's Love or Supposed Love. magnet tar pit trap = His description of incarnation, or Life, as it were. | Miss Misery is a direct reference to Society. I think he is singing this song to explain why he is depressed. Society is why. He is sarcastically saying "do you miss me society" as if speaking from the grave. The video highlights this expression by showing a cop following him around and the sign that says "Smog Cutter" and the white suit he wears with the pink rose/flower is common dress for the deceased, in a casket. | |
