I love that book; it's what I was thinking about when I started to listen to this song. Some of the lyrics really seem to fit, especially: 'And it's over, and I'm going under. But I'm not giving up, I'm just giving in.' I thought immediately of the donors in the book 'completing', and their final thoughts as they 'go under' / are anaesthetized. This is a lovely song, really powerful chorus. |
