Okay everyone, this song is NOT about satan, or vampire okay!!! BVB writes songs about their pain and past. We're born into the night like children of the damned Our pain will shine a light to those who understand ~This part is about kids who are different. They wear black and listen to screamo and are flagged as "emo" or "goth". BVB is saying that their past and pain will help them and that they know how the kid/kids feel~ Whoa whoa sink your teeth into forever Whoa whoa sunlight burns children surrender ~By saying "sink you teeth into forever" they're saying accept who are and embrace it. "sunlight burns children surrender" is being more direct. The normal people, bullies, who are all sunshine and roses are trying to change them and it hurts the kid and causes him pain, so he or she eventually gives, a.k.a children surrender.~ An exorcise of life to cut beneath our hands Like souls who missed their plight, we'll bleed along the sand ~In the first line, they're saying that what they believe in is causing them pain. By exercising their emotions and what they like, they are being cut and harmed. In the second line, they're saying that the kid feels like he or she missed his chance to be happy or be themself and now they feel empty, a.k.a bleeding on the sand.~ ~The rest is the chorus which I've already gone over. So yaaa, this song isn't about satan or religion or vampires. It's about someone feeling like they don't belong, and therefore they feel empty and like they have to surrender.~ |

To me the song is about loving someone and wanted them forever. The to lovers are fighting everything to be together. This is a call to arms, so grab your guns and get your horses. So march with me if you believe there's any hope for us. these lines are about the guy talking to others who are in the same position as him and his girl. He has to tel her something that he's been hiding. Maybe his lov for her, or a secret harmful addiction(cutting, drugs, achohol), but he knows everything will be fair and whatever happens, happens. Everyone says that when they're in love they can't stop thinking about they're lover. He couldn't see till his eyes we're closed, meanings he coulnd t stop seeing her face. I'm sorry this is so long, but I'm sure I'm not the only one who wants to know the meaning of this song. I could be wrong about the meaning, but this my way of thinking about it. I can relate to it becuase right now I'm in love with a guy who my parents don't know and don't like. Whenever I feel down and he will do anything to know what it is. I use to be (still am) a cutter and I do my best to stop. I can relate to some of these lines through that. my boyfriend trying to find out where I did it and my parents judgeing our love. this song is my escape. |
