The Toasters – Enemy Of The System Lyrics 11 years ago
The man in the song, the enemy of the system, seems to be metaphor for the old school ska scene. The late 70s was when most of the classic 2 tone bands came out, and most were from the UK. The 2nd wave ska attitude was similar to punk. They didn't care about money or recognition as much as just making music. That would be what the checkerboard army refers to, lasting about 20 years until the 3rd wave boom. The enemy of the system might also be a specific person who was influential during that time, but in the end it's the same idea.

Then in the late 90s was when ska had its 15 minutes of fame, almost literally. Like any underground scene, some of the fans were upset and accusing bands of selling out and whatnot. That's probably what all the lines about caring about money are referring to. Basically the 3rd wave bands abandoned this guy, the enemy of the system (the more traditional 2 tone scene), in favor of fame and money. Personally I don't agree with that. The 90s ska bands had a different sound but there definitely wasn't any money to be made in it, and any of the bands that were lucky enough to have a hit or two, had all formed way before the mainstream was into ska.

The Pietasters – Biblical Sense Lyrics 11 years ago
The guy wants go down on the girl like adam and eve, hence the biblical sense. Only slightly less obvious than "stuff" by mu330

Rancid – Let's Go Lyrics 14 years ago
I'm not claiming to know what any of these lyrics are, but some of these are definitely wrong. Just listen to the song and it should be incredibly obvious.
