i love this song so much. it evocates the ecsense of a dream the way it starts with "sleep as the goer" and ends with "wake as the swell peaks" it's so awesome. "silk round her neck falls down to her shoulder" such bright and realistic imagery, it also reminds me of the lyric in metanoia "Save me some dark hair over a face like hers She'll help the rain come to a pour" its just such a great song |

ok, i understand that it has a catchy rhythm that makes us all want to dance, but that is not the meaning of music, ergo this cannot be considered music! music is a way of expressing a feeling or idea and all this "i don't know what to call it cuz' its not a song" is transmitting to what i believe is an audience composed by mainly children is " hey i'm going to the club to get fucked up and hook up with a guy based on his looks and fake behavior" not only is this a bad message for society but the way she transmits it is also devastating, why can't anyone speak proper english anymore?. oh and when i thought the song was a disgrace to the music world, i saw the music video. oh god, five dancers dressed exactly the same as nicki minaj, oh that's great it teaches us all to be the same, to be copies it oppresses originality, that is a great message. the music video also portrays love as something extremely different from what it is to each one of us. the video is saying that when you find someone you love, that is implied by the heartbeat, you shall go as a couple to a swimming pool while various hunks sit around half naked and you throw glasses of pepto bismol at each other. franz Liszt must be rolling over on his grave. |
