True, yet I'm talking about having sex without the two partners ever using the "L" word. Because if you do it enough times, no matter how careful you are not to use it, one person will still manifest this word through subtleties such as body language. The way someone watches you when you sleep and smiles when you look at them. The way they obsess about you and your face is the background image on their phone. The actions they do, etc. Some things go without saying. And that's the worst, unless the feeling is 100% mutual. Most people enjoy sex. But not everyone is completely ready for true love. |

I was almost positive that he was saying "pretzel heart" in the chorus instead of "brittle heart". But anyhow... I definitely will keep singing it as the pretzel version, cause it sounds better, yet means the same thing. The song isn't necessarily about cheating, It's about having sexual relations with someone simply because they've fallen hard for you. When you know the whole time that they aren't your soul-mate. If you break it off, you will be lonely. But the longer you stay, the stronger the future heartbreak becomes for her. You may enjoy that persons company, yet the impending heartbreak looming in the distance seems inevitable. Which in turn hurts you as well. Not to be bitter, but I've observed that most relationships suck. Great song though. Sorry to all the girls whose pretzel hearts are slowly crumbling. |

My interpretation is much similar. Except the chorus to sounds like: Hahh Hahh Hahh Burned in the face of love Hahh Hahh Hahh Burned in the face of love As if he's laughing about it shamefully. He fell in love and got burned. |
