Dimbo_Sama 04-21-2007 Rated 0 rate down rate up I love this song, but personaly I think it means this Suicide rates in Teenagers are on the rise in japan, especially with online suicide pacts throughout the country. And in some sects, such as the ancient Samurai, suicide was deemed an honourable way of defeat, without submitting to your opponent. What I think The FINAL is, is a love song about Suicide. Not in a ghey Emo sense. But more that, maybe Suicide is this romantic noble notion for this protaganist, and that he has no other choice. Or it could be about two people who have met and fell in love but are part of a suicide pact and feel the only way to consumate is to die, but pull out at the last minute because they both feel a life together is too important to waste. That's how I've always seen it anyway. Protoman7000 06-18-2007 Rated 0 rate down rate up Yes, I can agree with Dimbo Sama's interpretation of the song, but I have one of my own, which doesn't vary too much I don't believe. Given from the PV, I believe the protagonist of the song has most likely lost the people he has loved the most, Not only the girl of his dreams, but their child as well. I also believe he's also avenged their deaths and has returned to the spot in which they were killed, facing his griefs once again that he couldn't prevent their deaths. He's filled with very strong grief and sorrow, NOT the "ZOMG I wanna die cause this girl broke up with me." depression you hear in crappy American teenage bands. Now that he's avenged their deaths, he's fulfilled the only purpose he had in his life, and realises how meaningless his life has become now. Because of this, he's come to an ultimate decision, he'll rejoin them in death because he can't simply restart without them. Whether he goes through with this plan or not, I'm not sure, maybe he realises at the end of the song that he should continue living..For them. Reading in here is where you can find several interpretations to how this song can be taken by its fans. |
