| John Frusciante – The Will to Death Lyrics | 11 years ago |
|
''And they're thought to be lies But we saw them, saw them We looked right in their eyes Right at them, at them'' He looks at his dark side, his unconscious, and sees how every self supressed aspect is lying to himself..trying the hide. He was trying to face himself anyway and looked at ''them'' (fragmented pieces of himself). ''Pinning space to the world We slaughtered, slaughtered Not a sound to be heard We're awful, awful'' He is trying to get rid of his lower self or his uncontrollable thoughts and ''slaughtered''. Trying to make space.. Basically he just hated himself or that part of his personality and longed for.. something like Nirvana (echo death/enlightenment) ''And have you seen How they run Out of gas They beat the pain They sing in the rain Endless and formless They fly to the end And back to the Beginning again'' Looking at himself more and more he sees his lower selves running out of gas (lacking power to act) and they beat the pain which means they become more accepted (even when it rains they're still singing). He is integrating his dark side with acceptance. This becomes an neverending repetition of development because you are never sure if you completely know yourself let alone your dark side. (Endless, formless to the end and back to the beginning again) ''Have you put them aside Your crazy thoughts and dreams No they're a part of me And they all mean one thing'' Becoming free from his suppressed and wounded self he experiences possibilities which until then were unseen. The journey hes traveling is endless though completed when he is dead. I hope make English is clear. |

| My father had the same kind of mother like in this song. And when I was a teenager I found out that my father is autistic and had build a wall around him. Now I know why he listened to Pink Floyd so much. Thanks for letting me know the meaning of the song because it all makes sense now. | |

really intelligent or really fucked up?.. what about both? The most intelligent people on earth were crazy. oh and you say this songs meaning could be anything? offcourse it could be anything.. doesnt that apply to every song lyric in the world? maybe for anything that exists in this world? the world could be anything, and perhaps, thats what makes it beautifull |

offcourse the idea of isolation is the main interpretation. You can also put it in a slightly different context. try seeing the main character of these lyrics as a small part of yourself. The part that you did not neglect.. unlike the others which have split off. |

| Thirteen Senses – Into The Fire Lyrics | 13 years ago |

Everyone has his/her fears In order to solve it you need to overcome your fears. search for it and feel it. Feel it as intense as you can. This feels like putting your hands into the fire |

| Trevor Hall – Well I Say... Lyrics | 13 years ago |

''Color me in begin to bring the fantasy to life'' If your thoughts will not take form. your fantasies dont have an instrument. ''Feed the inner child until it’s full with bliss Well I say what you going to do when Dracula comes for you Stand there until you go hollow'' According to some spiritual movements> Men give up on themselves and havent accepted themselves anymore at the age of 8 or 12 maybe younger. When you get certain wisdom, you will be able to feed that little boy or girl in yourself again. Do it before its to late. ''Mister Mister Can I get a 10-4 Do you agree that there’s a monster at the front door'' You have to admit you have problems. before you can open the door and see the problems you have to admit they are there. ''I believe in the power that will save I believe that this monster can finally be tamed'' Don't slay the monster. Be nice to your monster and you may tame it. You get more use of it when its alive. |

| The Dandy Warhols – Mohammed Lyrics | 13 years ago |

I've studied some religions and spiritual movements, and some psychology, in my free time. I do so for some years now. and offcourse I have my own interpretation. ''Again and again. I get up and say, I only want to get it right.'' He sees his ''inner problems'' (everyone has his/hers own problems) ''I only want to do the right thing, but all these demons harass my soul.'' When you see your own problems they usually seem very dark and wrong to you (obsessions and fears go hand in hand). That what you lack in your life always seems important to you. When those problems seem like a demon to you, you don't want it to be part of you, and you split yourself. Too bad this is not the way to solve your problems. Now the demons are harassing your soul. ''I won't be today, I'm alone again.'' ''Today'' he acknowledged the problem from his problems. In order to solve your problems you not only have to see them. You need to embrace them to, love them for what they are. His demons dissapeared and he is one again (for he can tell). ''No one can make that alive, no one can say they're better not when, all this freedom you get is a lie.'' No one can do this but himself. And nobody can say he or she is better then other people when all the freedom you get (freedom from mental slavery, things you MUST do from yourself and/or other kinds of inner freedom) is a lie (a lie to yourself). ''Again and again.'' Offcourse when you see other problems this can happen again. Don't be angry about yourself. If there would be no problems in this world the opposite thing can't excist ass well. Without black no white. |
