| Frank Black – Kicked In The Taco Lyrics | 13 years ago |
| I should add that this song came from an album named for Ray Bradbury and is rife with Mars themes. | |
| Frank Black – Kicked In The Taco Lyrics | 13 years ago |

Charles Thompson (aka Frank Black, Black Francis) often writes about space themes, particularly Mars themes. I suspect New Morocco and Albondigas Parish are invented fictional places on Mars. FWIW, Albondigas are small Mexican/Spanish/South American meat balls. Taco is often slang for female genitalia, I suspect it's supposed to refer to the crotch area in general in this case. Or he was speaking in a female voice in the song. |

| Frank Black – Superabound Lyrics | 13 years ago |
|
To me this has always been about a god like being that is bored. To know everything and be everywhere leaves nothing to be experienced. In an attempt to alleviate the boredom he attempts to live increasing bizarre experiences, to no effect. "I superabound, but i've still got nothing to do." |

| Frank Black – Ten Percenter Lyrics | 13 years ago |
|
The lyrics aren't totally correct. A "ten percenter" is someone who doesn't give 100% to a task. It doesn't refer to using 10% of your brain (a pseudo scientific myth by the way). The character in the song is a soda jerk. The person who hand pulls soda (carbonated beverage) from the storage container into your glass. This is often where you'd get ice cream or a float as well. "Cotton mouth" is when your mouth is dry or you're thirsty. It's reference is to being thirsty after you "suck a syrup and soda". "Soda jerks, Iggy Pop, and me." - Frank, from the Frank Black album press kit |
