Whoever this "Annie" person may be. I think "Annie" could be replaced by anyone. I think Annie is looking for ways to escape the realities of their life and is using music as that tool. Or to be more specific, Royksopp as a group is telling them that they are there to help Annie escape from their problems. Personally from that point of view the group could be considered kind of dark, especially with how this song sounds. As if they are there only to let the Annie delude themselves of their problems and never actually solve them. Just to get lost in a sort of trance in the music and never recover. That idea is what really makes this song sound cool to me and why I love it. |
