| The Maccabees – Toothpaste Kisses Lyrics | 13 years ago |
|
Cradle me I'll cradle you I'll win your heart With a whoop-a-woo Pulling shapes just for your eyes So with toothpaste kisses and lines I'll be yours and you'll be... Lay with me I'll lay with you We'll do the things that lovers do Put the stars in our eyes And with heart-shaped bruises And late-night kisses devine So with toothpaste kisses and lines Stay with me Stay with you Doing things that lovers do What else to do? |

| Modest Mouse – Wild Packs of Family Dogs Lyrics | 13 years ago |
| This song is clearly about death, and him accepting it. Others have different reactions, like the mother crying, maybe the father getting fired because of emotional distress. However, i think this is definitely about death. | |
| The White Stripes – Little Room Lyrics | 13 years ago |
| I see a lot of people posting about their growing fame, but I see it more as making due with what you have. Either way, this is such a great and simple song... Even the music video is nice. | |
| Grouplove – Colours Lyrics | 13 years ago |
| Just about being yourself. Your colors, it doesn't matter which, are all colors in the end. | |
| Kings of Leon – Revelry Lyrics | 13 years ago |
| Definitely about choosing fun over a relationship. The word "revelry" means "lively and noisy festivities". So he liked the girl a lot, but the "devil" and him were better off, meaning he preferred the party and fun. | |
| Gorillaz – To Binge Lyrics | 13 years ago |
|
This song uses metaphors to explain what happened and how they feels after a bad relationship breakup. Thunder, lightning, those are rough times. Chains, the attachment the couple has. The bitter pill, the inconvenient truth. Rolling into the sea again is looking for someone else, another partner. "You're by my side, but are you still with me?" refers to the fact that the person is physically there, but not emotionally or with support. Other metaphors, like the colored animals, show attachment. |

| Arcade Fire – My Body Is a Cage Lyrics | 13 years ago |
| This song is actually quite clear. The singer is insecure about his/her body. The body being a cage that keeps him/her from "dancing" with the one he/she loves is saying that the reason is his/her body. The, her mind. is actually what can really help him/her accept him/herself. The play is the way other people perceive him/her, and it being of fear and self-doubt, they see, but "clap anyways". or in this case say "nah, you looks great". The age is this generation that causes self-doubt. It's all a big metaphor. | |
| The Smashing Pumpkins – The Beginning Is the End Is the Beginning Lyrics | 13 years ago |
| This song was written by Billy Corgan with one meaning: Batman. Corgan says of the song, "...[he] wasn't talking about [him]self or trying to represent the Smashing Pumpkins. [He] was trying to represent Batman." - The Week In Rock for May 2, 1997. This song in fact IS about Batman. | |
