emptybrainfullsoul, knowing how Slug is, i think there is a secondary meaning. i think its someone who was in a wreck and see's life flash before their eyes. Looking and listening to the lyrics you'd think its told from the perspective of someone who lays wounded from the wreck. but the hook suggest hes probably reffering to someone who can save him, not physically but perhaps spiritually, mentally, emotionally? the wreck could symbolize a relationship gone bad and the hook represents a message to the girl who can save him or mend him back together. i figure its a girl hes telling this to because he describes her as an angel and instead of a male firefighter, its a female "the rain clouds over my head got dark. and then i saw my angel cut through the storm - she was in a firefighter uniform." |
