You guys are misinterpreting the key element of this song. He was in love with this woman but isn't anymore. And the reason? She was jealous and suspicious of him all the time, and he finally got tired of not being believed. And he acted the part of the coward: rather than walking away from her, he cheated on her and she found out. But the point of the song is, his betrayal was predicated by loving a woman who didn't know how to trust him. Lesson learned? |
