When I was like 14 my older brother told me he heard this song was about Aids relief I think it was. I have no idea if thats true but I've always thought that cuz I was young and thats what he told me. You can kinda see that in the lyrics, like I said I have no idea if its right or not but maybe something to think about. Also, I always thought let me come inside will you let it glide was a sexual thing. I can't imagine how its not, and that could relate to aids. Debate amongst yourselves |

I cannot remember what he said but I think it was on the Vh1 story tellers from way back Chris said something about it being about a girl he kept seeing in the Atlanta rock scene. I don't remember much else but I think its loosely based on some things she mad him think and its pretty general and not about some specific story. I believe its general things that can apply to a lot of people and a lot of situations. Thats whats so great about this song and a lot of Black Crowes songs!! The lyrics are always badass and they can mean whatever they need to mean to the person listening to the song. I can think of a billion lyrics by the black crowes that just kick ass and this song is one of the most debated ones of course. But if anyone has that vh1 story tellers let us know what he said cuz I lost my copy years ago |
