This is probably my favorite song by them. Probably because I'm sort of different from society these days in the sense that I don't drink or party. People are always tying to get me to do both of them the they call me boring and a loser. With that said, the meaning is pretty simple and a good one. Just be yourself and be who you want to be. You've got no reason to be somebody who you don't want to be just to please others. No reason to make any apologies to those who don't accept you for who you are. |

I agree with the top two people. It's saying that you shouldn't let others get in your way or tell you that you can't do something. You just gotta "Do what you gotta do" no matter what the critics are saying. |

This is such a great song! Probably the best I've heard so far on the new album. To me, this is about how people wish they could become something someone in life but they don't try hard enough, so God backs them up and helps them become that someone and/or something. I could be wrong, but to me that sounds about right. |
