| This song reminds me of my son who is struggling with meth addiction. If he had any possessions left I could send him the song to listen to. But he has lost everything and moves from friend to friends house with nothing but the clothes on his back. His dad lost everything trying to help him, all his things disappeared too. I live in a different city, so he will never have enough money to show up on my doorstep. How hard is that to know that I am glad for the distance. I cant pull him up out of the gutter, only he can decide. If I reach out then I go down too. I have tried setting him up with jobs, a phone, clothes, food, everything gets sold for money for drugs. Excuses fall from his lips continously. I have to remove tags from clothing, he will wear rags and take the bags of new underwear and socks back for the money. I must not let his addiction suck me down too. This song really spells it out. | |
