I think you would have had to of been in a long distance relationship to relate to this song. The lyrics do an awesome job at capturing those raw horrible emotions, thoughts, and that burning heart sensation that you feel when your trying to make a long distance relationship work. Excellent examples: -The diminishing detailed letters. -Your partner talking about people and places you don't know, and reaching a point where you can no longer be happy for them but only feel contempt and jealousy. -Best example is the chorus "you said he got his teeth fixed, I'm going to break them" This is where your partner starts talking regularly about an individual person and you know in your heart that that person is moving in on her/him. Your partner say's he/she is just a friend and are comfortable discussing details about them like "he got his teeth fixed" and all you want to do is go down there and punch him in the face cause you know exactly what his motives are, My job requires me to travel and transfer regularly, I practically have a PHD in long distance relationships. |
