Pixies – Levitate Me Lyrics 13 years ago
hmmm that actually sounds a lot like my current situation-girl who for whatever reason sees me as some sort of mystic or something keeps trying to get me to have sex with her. I keep refusing since I'm not exactly in the habit of sleeping with whores and prostitutes but she believes her and I are like meant to be together or some silliness and that some sort of transcendental type/spiritual experience would occur by engaging her. Always going on about how I would change her life and vice versa...

Anyways, your interpretation seems pretty accurate-goes along with the whole sex-death-rebirth cycle and the concepts of conjunctio in alchemy. Perhaps, the lyrics describe just that. Who knows? people always have a way of infusing personal imagery and archetypical experience into their interpretations of poetry, lyric and song.

Actually, Absinthe is quite legal in the U.S. You can find it at most liquor stores. Not sure what year it was made available again but it was relatively recent from what I can recall.

Arctic Monkeys – The Jeweller's Hands Lyrics 14 years ago
While this does appear to be about an affair, the person whom the narrator is speaking to is someone not quite like other people. It appears this person is someone akin to LSD itself and such people never stick around long. I also think the person engaging the affair has done this before but attempts to cover up the fact that they're married. At some point, no matter how much this person told themselves they wouldn't become obsessed with the lover, they did and they thought others would be impressed at their ability to not be attached to this lover. Lover(who also seems to serve as some sort of muse or mystic-perhaps even a gypsy type)leaves and everything begins to fall apart. The person sees this perhaps as the lover imparting some sort of lesson-as it's what he does. Serves as a sort of mirror. I also think this person wants the lover back-almost needs the lover back in some sense. I just see a lot of references to a mystical type of persona here or even a gypsy or visionary type of lover. Such types are often very easy to become obsessed with-very fascinating creatures.

Rammstein – Mutter (English) Lyrics 14 years ago
This is actually written from the perspective of Cain speaking in regards to a mother who isn't his mother. More a woman who claims to be his mother yet did not give birth to him. The mark on the forehead: Cain was marked on his forehead and as long as this mark remained, no one could kill him. The lyrics also describe how this self-professed "mother" is going to die. There also seems to be a strong allusion to not only being Cain but that of Immaculate Conception. The entire song is filled with Biblical references to Cain and the concept of Immaculate Conception.
