Dead Kennedys – Saturday Night Holocaust Lyrics 7 years ago
"First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me."
- Martin Niemöller

It's about complacency in the wake of human suffering. In addition, the disco scene of the 1970s was notorious for it's hedonism and debauchery. The character in this song, is escaping into pleasure to avoid dealing with the hard truths of his reality. But it's only a temporary respite, because eventually the same unpleasantness he does not want to acknowledge or think about catches up with him.

Bel Canto – Unicorn Lyrics 14 years ago
The entirety of this album is filled with images of fantasy. I keep wondering if the lyrics and themes were inspired by a book.

Either way, great song. Great album. Great band!
