My take: The narrator has decided to do heroin for the first time, and he keeps telling himself that's he's not gonna become addicted. In this song he's addressing a heroin addict, and keeps telling himself how he's "never gonna" end up like the junkie and let the drug take over his life. He believes that the drug will only be something he partakes in when he's got too much time on his hands, a "Saturday Savior". |
