I know some people think this song is about a boyfriend and girlfriend relationship. But my opinion or interpretation of this song is that, it's about a parent (could be mother or father) and child or even two close friends. The parent is telling and letting their child know that they are free to explore the world, make their choices, etc.... But that they'll (parent will) sort of always be there for them, home is where he/she (parent) is. And to never forget their home, to never forget their parent. The parent is granting/giving their child the space and freedom to explore life on their own and make their own choices. To me, this song is open to interpretation and I chose to interpret it that way. This is a beautiful song by the way, I love it, it's one of my favourite songs in general. And one of my favourite Vienna Teng songs. She has a beautiful voice :') |

| I like this explanation and I thought the same time. The first time I heard this song, I thought it was about a father and daughter and I continue to interpret it as that. A father who hasn't been there for most of his daughter's life, but nevertheless, he loves her very much. And he wants to be back in her life and he's telling her that he's on his way..... and he'll be there for her. | |
