/\ i couldnt agree more to that one. as for the fist comment, i dont blame you for seeing this song as a lovey and romantic one, with a guy trying to win that special girl back, because i thought the same thing when i first heard the song.. but as time went on and i listened to it much later into my future, after i completely forgot about the song, i realized the true meaning behind it. so for all of you that think other wise.. you are 150% wrong. listening to this song from somebody whos been in the same exact situation and has had the same experience going through the same drug addiction lifestyle would pick it up on this right away.. thats me. the needles, chemicals, its blatantly obvious to people like me. its a very special song to me very dear to my heart, and its truly amazing to those people going thru the same struggle that he was. and yes, their may not even be a girl in particular. hes singing that someone " knows how to make a clean break, my bones are your bones my home is your home ", which is explaining somebody who is very close to him who has overcome drugs and knows what its like to be clean and freed from them..(possibly his mom or a close girl friend) and when he sings about how its not as deep as it seems and unfair as it maybe, im just hear to remind you, remind you not to forget to remember me.. thats him saying he doesnt want that one person in his life who knew how he was before drugs, to forget how he used to be... and know that maybe one day he will become that person again. " i dodged ur questions so much, i dont posess the stregnth to answer straight" - clearly hes been asked over and over to get better, but he continues to use and so at that time he thinks theres no other way to live.. or answer those peoples questions on why he cant be clean from drugs. and as for in the begining, " the road turned into a snake, it looked in my veins and said, its in ur blood thats when i tried to run" thats saying that when his needle is filled, its to hard to put it down and walk away from it.. i hope this helped alot to those who thought differently about this song, being romantic and what not.. all though itd be cute, haha im sorry but the song is MUCH more complex then that. but to the eye of somebody who is not a recovering drug addict unfourtantly its very easy to miss understand. hope this helped! and to all those reading this who understand it like me.. if you are still useing just know the strengths there u just gotta find it! peace&love<3EOTCalwayz!! |
