i've recent gotten into opera, and today when i was getting back into bell & seb i realised the intro is essentially an electro version of the string intro to 'ave maria' Now i've only heard Pavarotti's version but both, 'ave maria' and B&S's 'electronic renaissance' go for 4 minutes 50 seconds ... coincidence? surely not unintentional the original 'ave maria' was composed by Bach during the ... you guessed it ... renaissance! however the most popular version is the one reinterpreted and composed by Schubert. give it a listen ------------------------------ i love tigermilk! |
