I thought it was "hoping girls and god would make my heart beat faster"? I think the song is about a gay guy, and his parents don't know that, so they try to find him a girlfriend, but she realises he's gay ("I ain't what you're after"). Eventually, he comes out to his parents, and they have a really hard time with this news, they're disappointed in him. |
