I'm not quite sure what the meaning of this song is, although I think its obviously about a relationship. I just wanted to comment that this has three of the best lines of verse ever written by Stephen Malkmus as well as one of the worst. BEST And you're the kind of girl I like Because you're empty and I'm empty And you can never quarantine the past WORST That i won''t eat you when I'm gone It's a shame too, because after hearing those wonderful lines about not being able to quarantine the past and how empty people like empty people, I always cringe at the part about eating somebody. |
