I think the whole first part stands boldly on it's own. The darker part only hampers that section for me. I've only listened to the song about 8 times or so at the moment though, I'm sure I'll learn to accept it sooner or later. |

I agree. That said, I'm not keen on the part where it gets a bit dark, and the vocal section following that (the last paragraph). But everything before that (the first four paragraphs) is insanely beautiful.
Hopefully I warm up to the rest of it eventually. |

This one blew my mind. It almost doesn't sound like Mike at times, he goes right up there tone-wise. And musically just completely stunning. Highlight of the album for me. |

I've never really bothered to do any intense interpreting of this one, but I've always looked at the line 'Only MTV, and CoD philosphy' as in, that's what drives kids these days. The CoD part being an acronym for the video game Call of Duty (often called CoD for short) which EVERY kid plays, even now.
