| Jeff Buckley – Lover, You Should've Come Over Lyrics | 10 years ago |

I don't know if that is what Jeff Buckley meant with this beautiful song, but it's exactly what it means to me. My kingdom for a kiss upon her shoulder It's never over, all my riches for her smiles When I slept so soft against her It's never over, All my blood for the sweetness of her laughter It's never over, She is the tear that hangs inside my soul forever The man was a genius, and puts into words what I feel far better than I ever could. Sucks to feel this way about someone who doesn't feel the same way about you. |

I love this song, and what it means to me is that yellow refers to both happiness and cowardice at the same time. I came along I wrote a song for you And all the things you do And it was called yellow If you go on the assumption that yellow is a "happy" color, calling the song yellow (both this song, and within the song) reflects the amazing happiness he feels because of a girl, and the irony inherent in writing a song telling a girl how he feels this way, and yet, never actually being able to tell her. Would doubt Chris Martin has that problem, but maybe he knew how it felt, once upon a time... |

| Los Campesinos! – To Tundra Lyrics | 14 years ago |

I think this is quite possibly the best song on the album, but I'm not sure what it even means. It definitely seems to be making a comparison between nature and religion--something to the effect that those who look to nature for comfort and peace are more likely to find it, compared to those who seek the same thing via religion. The line about the surgeon and his wife completely stumps me though. |
