i'm not sure if i'm right or anything, but this is what I hear through listening: back in june, I pulled the plug out push in penny in the pond i am sorry, I admit that admit that what I did was wrong i don't wanna get you down i just need to be around but you could be so unkind you're making a milkshake of my mind in july i pulled the plug out watch the water wash away i get high to drain the pain out i get higher every day i don't wanna get you down i just need to be around baby, you're so unkind you're making a milkshake of my mind |

| The Radio Dept. – Always A Relief Lyrics | 14 years ago |

I believe this song is about an unrequited love. The singer, is in love with someone who leads him on, but who ultimately does not love him back. And it's a shame, considering how much he cares for the other, noted right away in the first line: "It's always a relief to see you again." Even though he feels this strong connection towards the one he's singing to, they have their differences: "we hate different things" (and of course, opposites attract). The "illusion" and "confusion" lines were tough to figure out, but they make sense now. Because the singer is lead on, he is obviously "confused" and has the "illusion" that he'll one day attain that love in return. Also, the one he sings to may also be "confused"- he/she may not know exactly what he/she wants or loves and is scared to be in a serious relationship. Idk, this may be overanalyzing things a bit, but I thought of all this one night when I was stoned and it just made perfect sense. Maybe because I was going through similar instances. |

| The Shivers – Maybe, Baby Lyrics | 14 years ago |

One of the lines of the top stanza is incorrect. I'm almost positive Keith sings:maybe someday you'll be a big star maybe maybe maybe maybe, baby maybe someday you'll be a big star maybe maybe maybe maybe baby maybe someday you'll be gay (instead of maybe someday will be today) The rest is fine. |
