| Paul Colman Trio – I Dream Lyrics | 23 years ago |
|
from the pc3 website: "“I Dream” began literally as a dream or vision. It is a complex montage of suffering, confusion, spiritual conflict and finally peace. It is also a Revelations-inspired musical depiction of the spiritual battle for salvation and the heavenly release of eternity with Jesus." ---http://www.paulcolmantrio.com/ |

| Paul Colman Trio – Africa Lyrics | 23 years ago |
|
from the pc3 website: "Many a westerner has traveled to Africa to capture it on film or even to “help” it out. The result of most of these trips though is the opposite. Africa's simple and suffering spirit does more to change the visitor than the reverse. We are all looking to avoid suffering, and yet Jesus said it is an integral part of following Him. " |

| Who you date? That brings up another topic that I believe is important to discuss. People (that I know) tend to use the excuse that they date to get to know someone better but if we think about this statement for a second, can we not see it's flaw? When we choose a "partner" without knowing them very well, then are we not basing/focussing our choice more on flesh than character? Dating often involves false impressions; Befriending often involves genuine relations. In a society that's majority is falling deeper and deeper away from God, I am glad that the word superficial still has a negative connotation and has not yet become something to be "proud" of being. I just hope it stays that way: the day when what we look like makes up all that we are is the day when our society will have reached a profound sense of confusion and misdirection... | |

| First of all, let me say that this song is one with a lot of meaning. It does not go deeper than the words (with metaphors and figurative language) but perhaps even that was for a reason. Remaining pure is a SIMPLE act of faith. Faith in God. I mean have we really stopped to think how difficult it is to respect someone we have not even met or spoken to yet? No matter what one may say...it's not easy. We must have though, enough respect, faith and trust in God to prepare us for the right time and prepare our partner for the same. If we say that we believe in God, then we must obey Him. He says not to indulge in youthful lusts and really, without God's consent, that's all dating is about. It's all about courtship baby ;P. I'd also like to say that if I wait for the one true love (and I am setting up for my favourtie lyrics of this song), "when I say 'till death do us part, I'll mean it with all my heart". I'm glad this song was written. Even though it was something personal to Rebecca, it's like a voice for young adults going through the same thing and it's become personal for us too :]. | |
