Wolfmother – Woman Lyrics 12 years ago
Anyone else feel like the lines "your kinda looking at me like I've gotta set you free I can't free nobody" could be what the woman is thinking?
I feel like sometimes people fall in love with the idea of a person, and think of them as this perfect concept rather than a human being. She could be telling him not to get his hopes up, y'know. Or I could be reading into it too much.

Les Misérables – One Day More! Lyrics 12 years ago
"Viva" Isn't french.
The correct term is actually "Vive" for the sentence you've used. its a common mistake. its almost said like viva, sort of.. but more like Veev-ruh... but all in one syllable if that makes sense. :P

Bahamas – Lost in the Light Lyrics 13 years ago
I agree completely. it makes no sense to say "being free, you and me, on my own"
and I always thought it was till i had my fill as well.

Sleigh Bells – Infinity Guitars Lyrics 14 years ago
instead of "dumb whores" I always heard it as "Devil horns"

I like either one.. but someone said it was "Deaf whores" ??? And to me that makes no sense whatsoever...

Stars – We Don't Want Your Body Lyrics 14 years ago
The media makes girls think we have to trash it up, or be promiscuous to be loved.
I see this song to be a guy who is in love with this girl, the real her, he's known her since childhood, she was a successful kid, bright and beautiful. sadly, she grew up to be devoured by the media and her opinion of beautiful got warped along the way. She no longer feels truly beautiful, just what we are now made to think is "sexy". She is under the impression that he likes her more for her body, and thinks that he'd like her more if she gave it all to him, she is sadly mistaken. in fact, the only part he doesn't like about her is her facade of being sex hungry, and being known around the town for being so. He knows that if she gave her self the chance to be more than this, then she could be the truly beautiful and successful person she used to be.

that's just how I see it, opinions? :)

Stars – 14 Forever Lyrics 14 years ago
gosh, I'm 14 now, and the lyric "And if sometimes the kids all seem a little sad,
it's 'cause they're saying goodbye to the youth they think they had" really speaks to me. sometimes I think we are all rushing our childhoods... and then other times I feel like I'm wasting my youth.
good song.

Stars – How Much More Lyrics 14 years ago
I listened to this song while reading "The fault in our stars" by john green. so, my connection has to do a little with the book.

to me, its supposed to be about someone, or a couple with cancer.

"How much more am I supposed to take
How much more am I supposed to break"

I interpreted this has someone with cancer wondering why this is happening to them, or wondering if they should give up fighting it, wanting to know if it will ever just end.

"You asked for time, and time takes you away"

this could be speaking about how, with cancer, it takes the real you away before you actually die, you're too weak to be yourself. It takes over.

"My hands are tied
because I won't say goodbye
I tried"

this could be a lover/friend/family member telling their sick loved one that they aren't ready for them to leave.

"I told you I was brave but I lied"
This could be the patient confessing how afraid they are.

anyways, this is just how the book made it sound to me. any opinions?
Give it a read, its really good.
