If Volkswagen Jetta doesn't make sense to you in this song, just think about it. I think he means that when he's a big mess (caught in bad weather in his Volkswagen Jetta) God can make him feel like a complete work of art. You see, Volkswagen Jettas are extremely nice cars, and nobody wants to be caught in bad weather in a nice car like this- and he says that even when he is in a situation like this- he can still feel like a complete work of art. The line is "Volkswagen Jetta". At first I didn't think it sounded like jetta either. I always thought it sounded kind of like down or something. But if you really listen, you can tell. Especially in the last chorus. :)

Ha ha this song is funny. And I love how the music actually sounds angry. That's one of the reasons why I like her music. Because it shows emotion. Not only does the music in this song sound angry, but she does too. Well this song is just about a relationship that didn't work out (probably someone cheated on her) and she's just ready for revenge- and to burn up the pictures of this guy that did her wrong. Reminds me of Better Than Revenge. Which by the way, also shows a lot of anger in the music and the way she sings. :) |

I don't think this song is really about someone leaving. It never really indicates that anyone is leaving- you can take it that way, if you want- but I always thought the song was more about just loving someone, but if you can't be with them one day, you just want them to stay beautiful. But pretty much the same thing, I guess. And in songs, you can take them how you want, anyways. :) Either way, great song. |

To me, this song is basically about how when you're 15, you think having a boyfriend is everything. And you'll pretty much fall for anyone. And then what do you know, the relationships pretty much never work out, and someone gets their heart broken. And the point of the song is that you don't have to jump so quickly into love. Like the song goes, "but in life you'll do greater things than dating the boy on the football team". |

I don't think this song is about John Mayer. Well the most obvious reason is that before she performed this song at the VMAs one year, a video of the whole Kanye West incident played... Also, her secret message for this song is, "life is full of little interuptions". And Kanye West was 32 when it happened, and he told Taylor that he was 32, but still growing up. Which is in the song. And also, the incident was in September, and she says in the song, "you'll have new Septembers".
But anyway, I love this song. It's really good. It's just about how we all make mistakes, but they don't define who we are, we're still innocent. xD |
