Actually the song has nothing to do with suicide at all. It's a very positive song (just like most of their stuff). The song is about this miniscule moment in time that we as spirits have been actually placed into this world..onto this earth. The one thing that none of the "gods" have ever had the chance to do. To be mortal and eternal at the same time. In short, enjoy the ability to see, hear, smell, smile, love, etc...because it is only for a flicker in time that we get to do this. Do not be sad when something earthly seems to be troubling, it is only of this world and it isnt real, not in the grand scheme of things. It is a "Holy" moment, a gift, given to us by the Creator of all. Once this is realized it becomes more easily understood and appreciated. Yes,...all this pain IS an illusion. |

Those who are Gnostic can see the real meanings of the songs created by MJK. And once you "know", you will know. In short, this song, just like most of APC's and Tools songs, are cleverly written allowing "all" to see some kind of meaning within them. But keep in mind, there is always a true meaning.
This song in particular is directed toward those that know they don't belong "here". Those that have broken thru and now "see". Those that are aware and have had their eyes "opened" by the grace of the Creator. Those who see the world differently and know "something" isn't right. "So glad to see you well...with heavens help...youve cast your demons out..." So good for you, you are awake now...Congratulations! "But not to pull your halo down..." That's all well and good but!..."...Make your amends, to the dead..." Did you really think that's all you had to do? Make sure you are "ok?,..no, thats not how it works my son. Now that your awake, you need to help the others that are still asleep, the dead.
