roof with a hole in it, the hole could be anything but for now let's say it's heartbreak. His heart is broken and he is just a shadow of his former self. There could be diamonds on the hill(other girls, pros of being single, etc) but he can't see that cause his heart is broken. It's common sense what he should do, he could probably even tell someone else in the situation what to do, but it's never so obvious when it's you. |

| I think it's about a girl leading him on to believe they'll have a real relationship, but she doesn't deliver. There's plenty of other girls interested in him, but he wont be swept away.
