I have to agree, that a lot of people who are "emo", treat themselves like no body else is important and, in fact, use it as a way to get attention. But they arent the real "emo" kids and arent severely depressed and do not have serious mental issues. Those people are POSERS. And I hate them also. But I do not know any posers that listen to MCR. MCR is not an "emo" band. In case you hadn't noticed, Gerards hair was crayon frikin red. These guys are not "emo", they just happen to like the style. They are role models for all those kids who feel like outsiders, which is what 'I'm Not Ok' is for. His Grandmother died, which was Helena. Sure, some of their songs make absolutely NO sense and have zero meaning to them. but all bands have those. So, seriously. Step off the "stop being emo" train, and look closely, cuz you might be surprised by what you see. |

Honestly, anyone who says they are a true lover of music and then rags on MCR is a complete frikin liar. Cuz you have to admit, at LEAST, that their musicians are very good. I mean seriously! Even if you don't like what they "stand for" (and they don't stand for ANYTHING, which is something they've pointed out repeatedly on interviews and such) their music is something worth commending. Think about that. And next time you wanna post something hatful, do it somewhere else. Cuz people who come to this website are looking for song meanings and lyrics, not criticism. And I'm not "emo". Just to let you know. |
